The Affiliated Members of ECTAA are trade associations of travel agents and/or tour operators that are established in a European country which is not a Member State of the European Union, a Member State of the EEA and/or the EFTA nor a candidate country for accession to the European Union. An Affiliated Member does not have any voting right within the decision bodies of ECTAA.

The Affiliated Members benefit from the following services:

• Mailings and provision of documentations concerning European Affairs.
• Consultancy services on any issue that is of specific interest to the Affiliated Member.
• Participation in the Business meeting of ECTAA, which takes place twice a year as well as in a special annual meeting for Affiliated Members. These meetings present an opportunity to meet Full Members of ECTAA and to discuss issues of common interest.
  

To become an Affiliated Member of ECTAA, an association must fulfill three fundamental criteria:

• It must be legally established in a European country which is not a Member State of the European Economic Area, of the European Free Trade Area nor a candidate country for accession to the European Union;
• It must be sufficiently representative of the trade in its country;
• It must be open to intermediary agencies and/or tour operators.

If these requirements are met, an interested association can contact the ECTAA Secretariat and ask for membership as Affiliated Member. The membership application will be submitted to the next General Assembly of ECTAA for approval. Any Affiliated Member must pay an annual contribution.

Where in one and the same country, more than one national association are Affiliated Members of ECTAA, they must, by common agreement between themselves, constitute a single delegation of Affiliated Member.
